The Broadcom LSI SAS 9300-8e is a high-performance Host Bus Adapter (HBA) designed to connect external SAS and SATA storage devices to a compatible computer or server. Featuring PCIe 3.0 connectivity and 12Gb/s SAS technology, it is suitable for storage servers, NAS systems, workstations, and enterprise storage environments.

The card features eight external SAS lanes through SFF-8644 connectors and supports IT mode for direct disk access and software-defined storage configurations, when properly flashed and configured.
