    Small but powerful...

    I bought this little server for a media server under my TV. This server packs a lot into a small space, it has 4 x 2.5" drive bays, room for 4 external SAS through the P222 RAID controller, can have up to 32GB RAM, and it's pretty fast. It's not quite as quiet as I had hoped, but you have to cool the thing. I wanted better graphics, servers don't tend to invest in video cards. I bought an E3-1265L v3 (45W w/ video onboard) to replace the E3-1220 v3 (80W) hoping the fans would stay low but they don't. Also there is no hardware support for the HD graphics, even as secondary. I wanted to use Intel QSV but I can't. There is expansion room for a very small video card, and that's it. Overall I'm happy ewith my purchase.
