This has been tested by installing NetBSD 10.1 and running the system for a bit. Having said this, as noted in the item title - there is NO hard drive included. An HDD bracket is included though.
Note the pictures - sadly someone (not me) was rough with this in the past (this is unfortunately the case with many of these types of machines). One of the rear corners has some chassis bending and the backplate (plastic) has some cracks. The cover still goes on normally and the captive screws seat just fine. There is also a small chip on a front corner of the top cover.
There is a quick change HDD bracket and screws as well as the FDD grommets/screws. Just no drives.
With any 30 year old piece of technology - there are no guarantees. However I have done everything I can think of to test and validate this item.
Ships from 45238 USA or local pickup. I highly recommend local pickup if you are close or willing to do a road trip. I will do everything I can to pack this for safe shipment, but once the carrier has it you are at their mercy.
EDIT: Just noticed that this seems to have the501-2576 1mb VSIMM. I haven't tested / tried this but with the right OBP setting this machine should do 1280x1024 (still 8bp/256 color though).
