Hi fellow Amiga enthusiasts! Do you have a badly corroded A501 memory expansion? Or perhaps you are looking for a cool Amiga-related project?
This is a brand-new exact replica of an Amiga A501 release 5 memory expansion PCB (for the Amiga A500 trapdoor compartment). Please note this is not the later R6 version, this uses (16) 41256 RAM chips. I also have the release 6 version, so check my store (link below).
This board ships unpopulated and includes only the PCB. You can migrate all the components from your old crusty A501, or you can actually find all the components new (as seen in the pictures above. BOM listed below). The only item you cannot find is the 56pin edge connector. Simply modify two smaller sized ones, and install. Use the original Amiga 500 r5 schematics for guidance on assembly (the A501 R5 is the last page of the schematic). This document is freely available.
