Works well, even inside a shed 20m away from the modem it’s connect to, though that’s using 2.4 ghz, due to higher frequency (wavelengths) the 5 ghz channel has much reduced connection, but closer to the modem is fine. Something to be aware of if you need to use 5 ghz. Looks good, can be displayed upright or flat as needed. Only issue I had was a drama to connect, much harder than any previous extender I’d used. Seems that windows 10s inbuilt network manager does not like to connect it. Kept throwing up a network change error and refusing to detect the IP address for the netgear. Eventually had to ignore the Instruction manual, open a web browser (after connecting to the netgear via wifi) and entering the 192.168.1.250 ip address to manually open its menu. After that set up was a breeze, though note you will likely end up at the end of setup with a screen saying “timed out, took to long to connect to 192.168.1.250). Just close the window, enter your wifi menu on your pc or device and select the netgear again using the new menu name that was created during setup. All good to go from there. Overall netgear setup itself was easy, it’s just that Windows 10 has issues. Also note this is an old school extender, not a new fancy mesh extender so be mindful if you want to connect a lot of things through it, there’re limitsRead full review

The EX6200 extender WPS feature did not work to connect with my existing WPS enabled router. Very complex to get the extender to connect, had to reload the firmware, do a hard reset, connect the extender with an ethernet cable direct to the router to set up and then the extender was unreliable when providing a wifi enabled internet connection even when placed in close proximity to the wireless router. I found this extender to be to complex for an average person to set up and then the connection was not reliable. I recommend TPLink, cheaper, just as good and easy to setup.

I am NOT a tech savvy person, and it took me a while to set up. The instructions were relatively clear, just me perhaps. The wifi extender does exactly what I want it to do, which is allow wifi to be used in the granny flat at the back of my house (on the same block of land as our house) through the wifi in our house. There were cheaper extenders but I was hoping by paying a bit more I would get a better product. Not always so, but in this case, glad I did.

This Netgear dual band extender totally fixed the problems I was having with poor or no signal at the rear of my house / outside. Fantastic product!

I had it installed and running within about 10 minutes. Am using it to extend the internet from my house router into the shed which is detached from the house where I could never get the wifi on my phone. This extender picks up the house wifi no problems and extends it fine in the shed. It is so powerful I can actually connect to it from the house. Very happy with the purchase.
