Relative to its cost as a refurbished product, the cable modem is ok. But it is a product I wouldn't recommend buying new at a full price. Not worth it. The cable modem is very very basic. There aren't many advanced features such as firewall, firmware upgrade or even disabling wifi. I have had multiple problems with it such as my cellphone apps not loading fast enough while on wifi (due to Upnp setting being ON) or 5Ghz wifi dropping and disappearing all of a sudden (unknown). If you dont have a higher budget, I guess it is ok for you. If you are an advanced user, consider another model or brand.

I purchased this because I wanted to maximize the speed of my new subscription to Time Warner (now Spectrum) 500M Internet. The guy on the phone from Spectrum said that thus was a 'minimumly qualified modem' then he read me what that means and said it wasn't a problem and continued to set the modem up. I'm willing to bet that Spectrum doesn't want too many people to go out and buy this modem because of large amount of channels it requires. Whatever. It's screaming fast. It's setup screens are pretty basic, so if you want to do super-tweaking to your WiFi parameters this isn't the router for you. It takes like 5 full minutes to reboot and establish a connection. I hung a 4TB drive off of it for a media server. It had to be divided into two volumes, but it works fine.

There isn’t anything that I don’t like about this modem/router combo. Setup is easy. You don’t even have to call your cable provider. Just follow the directions and you can even set up the WiFi. 2.4 is fast but the 5 is BLAZING!!!
