Teaching yourself Routing skills is almost impossible in and of itself - more so if you have no routers to practice on. This is one of the models recommended by the second to last book on the subject, along with the 2800 series, also by Cisco. So I made this purchase. The router works fine, has future expansion option sockets, and the price was right. All that was missing was the face-plate - big deal! Also, these folks really know how to pack and ship delicate electronics devices. They are first rate!
