It's an enterprise-grade switch so it will do just about anything you'd need an L2 switch to do. Throughput is excellent and the web interface is easy enough if you're not a fan of the console. I will say it's a bit noisy (I mean, it's not designed for home use in the living room) but a couple fans purchased off eBay dropped it down to where having it next to me it's no louder than the rest of my servers.
