I have bought a total of 5 of these switches via ebay and 3 failed after not much use. I was able to repair two of three by replacing the 680uf filter capacitors in the power supply. You should be suspicious of any Dell gear in the range of 8-10 years old because Dell was a big victim of bad capacitors from Korea (goggle "bulging capactiors" for more info). There have been many law suits against Dell that allege that Dell eventually knew of the capacitor problem but denied it to customers. If you're not technically able nor willing to spend time to replace the capacitors in this switch then you might want to consider something else. You may want to question sellers who claim "seller refurbished" if they have replaced capacitors.
The switch was easy to connect to my network, just pluged it in. No addition setup. It gave me the additional ports I so badly needed at a very resonable cost. I have always trusted the Dell name.
I like it, I can connect with 15 PC's, all PC can be networked and online The speed may be slower than without switch, but acceptable
I'm happy to get this product, I was need a similar switch but this mark is so better like others, I recommended to use switch like this
