Conserving energy is an important aspect behind the design of the APC 500W 120V 750VA Smart-UPS. The Green Mode is a patent-pending operating function that was created by APC. This feature gives you the ability to bypass any unused electrical components within your system to conserve energy. This energy is then recycled and sourced to other equipment within your system for efficient operation. The Green Mode feature does not sacrifice any protection for power sourcing for your system. There is also a Pure Sine Wave Output featured on the APC 500W 120V 750VA Smart-UPS. This feature is the heart of the device. High efficiency green UPS can pay for itself
Nice UPS, operates at around 93-95% efficiency at 1/4 to 1/3 load. Saves a lot of power compared to my older UPS, and ends up paying for itself in a couple years in power savings alone. Be aware that it is not compatible with older APC cards such as the first generation web/snmp cards.
