The picture is wrong it is a small black unit. It is the latest cable modem made by Linksys. It is so small you can put it almost anywhere. Smallest cable modem I have seen yet. Return my DLink cable modem even though it costs more but it wasn't as cool looking as this unit and it doesn't work with Comcast's Powerboost. This modem from Linksys works with Powerboost and man my speeds have more than quadruple just by using this modem and this modem costs less. Wow is all I can say about this modem. Don't hesitate to buy it. Very reliable only have signal dropped once since I was online but don't know if it is modem's problem or Comcast's problem doing upgrades or something.
The modem works and works well. What else do I need to say? I hooked it up, opened up my browser, and a Comcast site came up with a download. So, I downloaded the tool and it automatically got my modem all set up for me. It works, it's stable, and it's fast. The BIG thing is, it fixed my slow Playstation Network download speeds. I had read it might, so I tried it out. Sure enough, I'm pulling extremely fast download speeds now from my home network like I should have been (Motorola Surfboard sucked with it). If you're thinking about getting it, do it.
Bought this cable modem to replace existng older style modem. This cable modem runs great! No problems since I plugged it in over a month ago. Stable, web browsing seems to run slightly faster than previous. I had to call Comcast, talk to their technical support, and give them the mac address to activate, but once this happened, everything is working good. However, the cable modem is physically smaller than my previous, so it doesn't stack well on my existing Linksys router.
Great little modem to go from cable to a WLAN network.

Not much I can say about this modem. It's a linksys (by cisco) and it works great. I've never had a complaint about anything from cisco or linksys. I'm getting about 11Mbps downloads on a 12Mbps connection. If I had one gripe, it's that they changed the form factor so this won't stack nicely with any of your other linksys stuff. I hooked it up, called the cable company and told them the MAC address and it's been working ever since.
