Was a Netgear fan for years, but last couple routers were nothing but trouble. Could not count on them. Checked around and TP Link was getting good reviews so grabbed this one. So far I am very happy with this router, plus it has so many great features. Slight disappointment, the WiFI is not much stronger than the previous netgear. Not a huge deal, just was hoping it would be better in that respect. Maybe if it had bigger antennas. Would still recommend, it's been an awesome router.

My Netgear R6400 was giving me trouble, dropping out, losing range, etc., so after looking for an AX router to replace it I decided on this TPLink. Honestly, I picked it for the looks. It goes with my setup, but I am totally pleased with the performance improvements over my 4 year old Netgear. The range on this thing is fantastic. I'm getting buffer-free connections to my IP cameras in the barn 120 feet from the house. My Ring Floodlight Cam works in live view mode for the first time ever. I didn't purchase this Router for network file sharing, but I hooked up a 3 TB MyBook and now easily share all my old music files with all of my devices without having to use up native space. Setup was the easiest I've ever experienced with a router. Everything just worked within minutes. I had, during the last several years, the chance to try in my home-office and home several AC (and now an AX) routers. Some where mediocre - worked almost by the book, some where awfull (linksys - their high end are bags of bugs).
