Bought this new XB3 dual signal WIFI box to replace the old version xfinity box with a single weak WiFi signal. This dual wifi signal box fixed the problem picking up a wifi signal in other rooms in our house. It was a good purchase for us. We had no problem changing out the old/new xfinity box's. I was lucky and old xfinity boxes power cable fit the new XB3 box.

The product worked fine. As a Senior Citizen, my resources are very limited and I thought it would eliminate my having to pay Comcast $14 per month. HOWEVER, Comcast advised that it is THEIR MODEM and I the monthly fee would still be charged. I'm no longer using this equipment and have since purchased an Arris modem and no longer have to pay Comcast the equipment fee. Lesson learned ...the cheap becomes expensive.

This modem router works but is an older model and is quite slow compared to the newer model Comcast rents out for $10/month. Over six months it will have paid for itself in reduced expenses from Comcast, but the trade-off is quite slower modem speeds. I will keep it and use it because of the cost savings and since speed is not critical to my on-line computer operations.

This modem/router combinations works very well. I only had to connect the cable cord, phone line and power cord. After a short time (approximately 10 minutes) it was completely powered up and ready to go. The lights indicate whether or not everything is working properly. I have Xfinity/Comcast and it controls all three of my services of cable, internet and home phone with a built in wifi. Great all-in-one choice.

We've rented one of these from Comcast since we decided to use our phone with the "Triple Play" package. Our previous phone bill was over $85/mo. With this modem router we now pay $10/mo. through Comcast. Plus we got to keep our number and have all the same benefits as our old service; national unlimited long distance, call blocking, call waiting, forwarding, voice messaging, etc. That and along with owning our own modem now, we save an additional $10/mo. in rental fees. What took us so long?
