Unfortunately the firmware threw errors during boot so bad that it couldn't be flashed with the latest firmware to fix it... That being said I'm sure if I had the proper tools to flash it, physically connected to the chip, I would probably have gotten as far configuration before realizing that managed switches are outside of my ability! LOL

During some system test I managed to erase all the memory. A little persistance and upload the new firmware everything is working great. A factory reset was required but probably not the way I did it.
