I am a server manager who works with several others HPE partners. These lifetime licenses (limited quantity) came from our own headquarters, we once acquired them on a wholesale but they never got used.

Enhanced Security Features

HPE iLO Advanced provides Directory Service Authentication that allows for user-password policies to be inherited from a directory without the need to update user-password setting in each server. Common Access Card (CAC)/Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card based 2-factor authentication (available on HPE Gen10 Server portfolios and later). Kerberos authentication provides dual authentication allowing users to log in once and navigate between servers. Enhanced security with iLO Federation allows an iLO to encrypt and sign messages to other iLOs in same group.

Optimized Performance

HPE iLO Advanced gives you access to Hewlett Packard Enterprise patented Jitter Smoothing and core boosting technology for significant performance improvements, real savings, and a more intelligent server environment. Jitter smoothing mitigates processor frequency fluctuation for reduced latency, more deterministic performance and, in some cases, improved overall workload throughput above Turbo Boost Mode alone. Core boosting enables higher performance across more processor cores without overclocking and lower licensing costs for core and processor based licensing. Available with select HPE Gen10 Server configurations with select Intel® processors.

Simplified Server Management at Scale and Built-in Group Management with iLO Federation

HPE iLO Advanced offers Group Virtual Media which gives you the ability to replicate the same script media within an iLO Federation group. Group Power Control lets you turn several servers on and off with a single click. Group Power Capping allows servers to share power consumption among a group of servers. Group License Activation for faster implementation of iLO licenses.

Normally I already have a license code ready to dispatch, so most likely you will receive it in just minutes directly to your email as an message (active hours: 10am-10pm Central Standard Time). If for any reason I am unable to send the license code right away, please understand that exceptions may occur, but I can guarantee you that in any case the delay usually will not be more than a few hours.

For convenience, privacy, and security, all licenses are only delivered electronically. I don\'t hold them physically anymore since they already were destroyed after the codes were extracted.

Q&A Are the licenses genuine?

Absolutely, and lifetime as well.

Is each license code unique?

Yes, it is. So, if you acquire, say 5 licenses, each license will have their own key.

How do I install the license?

There are several ways, but the one I found to be easier is to log in into the iLO web interface on your local network and then navigate to Administration > Licensing.

Can I re install the license on a replacement server?

Once EULA\'s terms are accepted when installing, the license gets binded with your server (OK status). Each license is unique, you will require an authorization code for replacement if that happens (like iDrac on Dell), so you need a physical license with Entitlement ID and active support if that\'s a concern.

The licenses have HPE support?

No, if you want it or need it (very rare, indeed), you will want to purchase physical licenses directly from HPE.

Can you get physical envelope licenses for me?

Yes, but pricing will be considerably higher and I will have to order them (each license will be priced around $400 USD).
